Overview

Have you considered starting your own website or blog, but just didn't know how to begin or were afraid that you'd have to know a programming language? WordPress makes it easy to create your own professional-looking website or blog – without knowing any programming. In part 1 of this 2-part webinar, join Jerry Swiatek as he shows how to begin creating and modifying a site using one of the WordPress templates. He will explain basic settings, such as how to post, as well as how to create pages, select themes, add images, apply formatting, approve comments, and more. Although not required, you may also want to view the companion webinar, "Building Your Own Website or Blog with WordPress, Part 1."

Excellent! Liked that People section to know that students should be entered as Contributors and that there is really no limit so a whole class could be involved. Also liked that the Comments section allows the administrator to control posts to be marked as needed for moderation so the teacher can preview before posting and that words or phrases could be black listed for all posts so no inappropriate language is used.
Biggest reminder is to not go live until you are fully satisfied with your pages!
