Overview
Session Description:
Teachers do a wonderful job taking care of others, but they sometimes forget to make their own wellness a priority. Long hours, not enough sleep, no time to exercise, too much grab-and-go food, and countless hours spent tending to the needs of students and family all contribute to the problem and leave us with little energy for ourselves. Join Chrissy Romano-Arrabito for this time-saving, to the point session as she shares a variety of self-care tools and resources designed to enhance your mental, physical, and emotional well-being. You will also walk away with key strategies that can improve your work-life balance and manage the stress brought on by the teaching profession.
Learning Objectives:
Explore a variety of self-care tools and resources designed to enhance teachers’ mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Identify strategies that can improve work-life balance and manage the stress brought on by the teaching profession.
Assessment:
Participants will join a collaborative backchannel chat and discuss strategies for teacher self-care to demonstrate their understanding of the session objectives and reflect on their learning.
