What are Choice Boards and How Do They Benefit Student Learning?
This is workshop one of six for the series titled "Designing Choice Boards for Personalized and Blended Learning Experiences." Explain the framework for developing choice boards and how they can be used to benefit student learning. Create a multi-column, multi-row task-based choice board to optimize student's voice, choice, and autonomy.
Choice boards are effective tools for increasing student autonomy and engagement. Join Matt Bergman for this hands-on, interactive workshop as he shares a framework for developing choice boards, an explanation of the various kinds of choice boards, and how they can be used to benefit student learning. Participants will also have an opportunity to create their own multi-column and multi-row task-based choice boards that they can immediately use with their students.
While we recommend that participants attend all six workshops in the series to meet the learning objectives, each workshop can be attended as a standalone. Full Members have access to view the recordings on demand and earn up to six continuing education credits.
