Workshop Description:
Recognizing that ALL students have unique experiences, strengths, and needs is the first step in developing an inclusive mindset. Next is designing learning experiences that capitalize on those individualities and celebrate students for who they are.
Join Lauren Boucher for this collaborative, hands-on workshop as she shares strategies that will inspire each of your students to learn, contribute, and feel like an integral part of the classroom community.
Participants will receive done-for-you templates, step-by-step instructions for classroom implementation, as well as the opportunity to make-and-take a variety of activities that will motivate your students to actively participate in the learning process.
Learning Objectives:
Identify instructional strategies that will encourage students to learn, contribute, and feel like an integral part of the classroom community.
Design learning experiences to capitalize on each student’s individuality and celebrate them for who they are.
Special Technology Instructions: Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment: Participants will have collaboration and sharing opportunities throughout the workshop to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
