Workshop Description:
Effective classroom management plays an essential role in establishing a positive classroom community where students can learn, grow, and achieve. Join Dr. Samantha Fecich as she shares strategies to help beginning teachers explore their classroom management style and integrate technology that will help track, monitor, and engage students in their learning. Participants will also have an opportunity to access done-for-you templates and resources to design their own classroom management plan to maximize classroom instruction, student behavior, and academic performance.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss the importance of effective classroom management and the role it plays in establishing a positive classroom community.
Explore ways to integrate technology that will help track, monitor, and engage students in their learning.
Design a classroom management plan to maximize classroom instruction, student behavior, and academic performance.
Special Technology Instructions: Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.
Assessment: Participants will use the templates and resources provided to design a classroom management plan for the upcoming school year to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
