Every employee has the right to a safe work environment that is free from harassment and every employer has the responsibility to make this a reality. You will also learn a variety of strategies for preventing workplace harassment that will create a respectful, productive environment based on mutual trust and understanding.

Learning Objectives:
  • Explain the legal definition of harassment and interpret laws related to workplace harassment.

  • Identify the most common types of harassing behaviors that occur in the workplace.

  • Describe how to mitigate the liabilities and expenses related to workplace harassment.

  • Compile strategies for preventing workplace harassment that will foster a respectful and productive environment.

  • Assessment: Participants will complete an exit ticket to demonstrate their understanding of the session objectives and reflect on their learning.
