NOTE: While we recommend that you attend all sessions of the workshop series to meet the learning objectives, each workshop can be attended as a standalone. Full members will also have access to view the recordings on-demand and earn up to six continuing education credits.

Workshop Description:
A Google-Insta party? Don’t we get enough of that at school or work? But while you may already be taking advantage of online video conferencing apps like Zoom or Google Meet to chat with your friends or students, hosting a Google-Insta party takes connecting online to a whole new level! Join Naomi Harm as she shares, step-by-step, how to get started with this new, innovative strategy that is sure to spark engagement in your classroom. Participants will also have an opportunity to create their own personalized learning experience that they can immediately use with their students.

Learning Objectives:
  • Use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.

  • Foster a culture where students take ownership of their learning goals and outcomes in both independent and group settings.

  • Special technology instructions: Participants will need access to an internet device and a non-school, personal Google account. SimpleK12’s Google Classroom will be utilized for the interactive and hands-on components of this workshop.

Assessment: Participants will complete an inclusive opening and an optimistic closing activity as well as share their completed digital projects to demonstrate their understanding of the workshop objectives and reflect on their learning.
