Overview

Session description:
The end of the school year is approaching faster than we might think. Before we know it, final exams, grade-level assessments, and state testing will be in full swing, and many students will find themselves studying late into the night or feeling nervous about their big tests. Fortunately, it does not have to be that way! Join Deb Norton as she shares a variety of strategies to help students prepare for assessments as well as manage testing anxiety. Participants will also have an opportunity to create a plan of action for transitioning into the end of the school year that will help their students finish strong.

Learning Objective:
  • Create a plan of action for transitioning into the end of the school year that includes the use of educational technology to prepare students for end of the year assessments and SEL strategies to manage students’ testing anxiety.

  • Assessment: Participants will complete an exit ticket activity to demonstrate their understanding of the session objective and reflect on their learning.
