The research is on how cursive helps to stimulate the brain was amazing. I was happy to see that North Carolina is one of the 22 states that has kept some teaching of cursive in the curriculum. This type of writing builds neural pathways, increases spelling ability and leads to better retention of the content being studied! I have taught cursive writing in Art class, and I will continue to incorporate it into my visual arts lessons. Thank you so much!

This was great! Michelle said some things about cursive writing that I had never thought about.

A big thank you to Michelle for telling us why cursive writing is so important and what parts of the brain are utilized. I will be teaching it to my students.
