Overview

Responding to an emergency can be an overwhelming responsibility for teachers, and this is especially true when in a classroom surrounded by students. In this webinar, John Roche will provide tips and suggestions for controlling your classroom when emergencies happen, discuss strategies for handling the effects of trauma, and provide resources that are available for teachers to learn more. You never know when an emergency may strike, but being prepared can make all the difference. Although not required, you may also want to view the companion webinar in this series, "First Aid Tips: What to Do in an Emergency" to learn about basic first aid principles, common injuries, and tips for being prepared. NOTE: This training is non-certified.
