Overview

With the increase in one-to-one programs and the growing use of digital learning resources, many districts are installing Wi-Fi on school buses to allow students to do their homework during their daily commute and while traveling to sporting events and other school activities. Other districts are providing mobile hotspots to students without home internet access in an effort to bridge "the homework gap." In this webinar, join CoSN Chief Innovation Officer Susan Bearden as she discusses best practices for school bus Wi-Fi and hotspot deployment, including lessons learned from previous implementations, vendor selection, filtering, hotspot deployment, community partnerships, and funding.

Terrific information as we consider implementing a similar program for our schools.

Discipline incidents decreased notable in the Wi-Fi equipped buses, improving student safety because drivers had fewer distractions.

Interesting our district is in a very rural area but not so sure they would embrace this concept.
