Overview

Are you careful to be inclusive of all students and cultures in your classroom? Our classrooms are more diverse than ever, and our social climate is often more volatile than we have seen in the past. Given these factors and that most pre-service teachers - and many veteran teachers - do not receive training in how to work with students from different cultures, it is crucial that we openly discuss how to be responsive to our students' needs. Join Megan Fuciarelli as she shares the importance of being inclusive of all students and cultures and discusses the effects of bias on our students. In addition to introducing general principles regarding Critical Practices and an Anti-Bias Framework, Megan will share resources and links to support you in providing a responsive classroom environment.
