Overview

You've likely heard about blended learning, which mixes online learning with traditional classroom instruction. You think it's a great idea and you are ready to take the leap. Now what?

Meet Catlin Tucker, teacher, trainer, blogger, and author of the bestselling book Blended Learning in Grades 412 for an extended question and answer session. She will provide a quick overview of her book and answer questions from educators and readers interested in learning more.

In her step-by-step guide, Catlin outlines the process for integrating online discussions with face-to-face instruction in a way that is aligned to the Common Core State Standards, works for your students, and allows you to focus your energy where it is most needed. Her book, which provides concrete strategies, ready-to-use resources, and sample rubrics, also explains how to increase student engagement, assess online work, personalize learning, and more!

Although, attendees are encouraged to read the book and formulate questions ahead of time, they are not required to do so. Attendees will also have the option of purchasing the book at a discount from Corwin Press.

I enjoyed this question and answer session. I bought your book and have been slowly trying to blend my classroom. I still struggle with students that have no internet at home, and there is very little time during the school day for them to work on individual classwork.
