About Me: I am currently a Regional Consultant and Workshop Presenter with Houghton-Mifflin-Harcourt, an Independent Education Consultant presenting workshops at conferences and for educational training companies I have 24 years of experience in elementary education and was an Early Childhood Educator and Adjunct Instructor with Ashford University. I have taught from Pre-School - 6th grade. I wore three hats at my school site. I taught computer science, facilitated NASA curriculum lessons, and was the Site Ed Tech. I have two passions: 1. Dedication to assisting at-risk young people with academic tutoring and technology training so that they can overcome any of their life obstacles. 2. The love of teaching and learning new technologies that will enhance teaching and will assist with student achievement. Last, of all, a friend and I co-founded The Jamal Gordon-Hill Foundation, which focuses its volunteer work mainly on working with at-risk young people between the ages of 10- 25. We support them with academic tutoring, technology training, and grant space camp scholarship,s and college scholarships. And my greatest accomplishment is being the mother of three wonderful sons and six fantastic grandsons and one granddaughter.
