Susan Bearden

Susan M. Bearden, CETL is the Chief Innovation Officer for the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN). She works closely with Google on their pilot Rolling Study Halls program, which provides funding for Wi-Fi connectivity and onboard educators on school buses in several rural districts. She previously served as a Senior Education Pioneers Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education in the Office of Educational Technology. A former K12 technology director and author of “Digital Citizenship: A Community-Based Approach,” she has received numerous awards, including the 2019 ATLIS Pillar Award, 2015, the 2015 Making It Happen Award from the Florida Society for Technology in Education, and the 2014 Bammy Award for School Technologist of the Year.
