Richard Byrne
Richard Byrne, a Google Certified teacher and former high school social studies teacher, is the developer of the popular "Free Technology for Teachers" blog, which enjoys a subscriber base of more than 60,000 educators. While teaching for over 8 years, Richard piloted a 1:1 laptop program, coordinated a "laptop squad" to support teachers’ use of laptops in their classroom, and served on a number of curriculum and assessment committees.
In addition to his Free Technology for Teachers blog, Richard maintains iPadApps4School.com, Android4Schools.com, and PracticalEdTech.com and speaks regularly at events in North America, Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. He is a five-time winner of the Edublogs Award for Best Resource Sharing and was named by Tech & Learning Magazine as one of their "people to watch."
