Jonathan E. Martin is Director of K12 Consulting Services, for ACT, the company best known for its college admissions test. He is a writer and consultant on 21st century learning, with a particular interest and expertise in K12 assessment. He has 15 years experience as an independent school Head of School, and before that taught eight years as a High School History and English teacher. He holds a BA from Harvard University and an MA in School Administration from the University of San Francisco; in 2008 he was a Klingenstein Visiting Fellow at Teachers College, Columbia University.
Since 2011, he has consulted to more than forty schools and school districts; worked with more than 20 national and international educational organizations including ETS, NWEA, Simple K12, EdLeader21, OECD, Blackbaud, the Center for Curriculum Redesign, and NAIS; and presented to educators at more than 100 conferences and schools.
