I appreciated the fourth leg on the stool and it makes sense to be award of teacher SEL skills. Iím reminded of the beauty of having an aide in the classroom to give each other a time out moment if needed. I found greeting rituals to be powerful in welcoming our students to the classroom. Also, the close reading section of the webinar may have seemed typical to the average teacher but a firm reminder of the many components that go into productive reading.

My interest is piqued. My question would be how does one begin to implement/purchase the data and forms presented in this webinar. Perhaps that question will be answered as I continue with the other two classes that follow.

This was a great webinar for me and highly interested my heart for meeting the needs of the whole child.

I think it's interesting how executive functioning and a lack thereof plays a major role in learning through the socio-emotional model

I found "Encouraging Empathy..." the most helpful. I wish the links still worked. The direct resources would have added greatly to my efforts to learn more.

I think it's important to promote both social and emotional learning. Students need to learn how to develop socially as well as control their emotions. I feel that these skills need to be learned so that the students can begin to learn in the classroom. It is so important that they are able to function in a learning environment, so that they can learn in that same environment.
