Blogging in Kindergarten!

I am thinking about having a classroom blog in addition to a weekly newsletter. The weekly newsletter that I write to parents once a week goes over some news and what we have learned that week at school. With parents not being allowed in the building due to COVID last year, parents still felt disconnected from the classroom. I was thinking of having a class blog that would talk about our week but from the kids point of view! I thought we could craft the blog together as a class, even use it as a shared writing experience as the kids progress throughout the year! Blogging would lead to conversations about including pictures, asking questions when you write, and we would have a real audience! Parents could comment back to us and we would reply as a class. Has anyone tried to use blogging in this way? Do you have any feedback or ideas? Thank you ahead of time!

First year teaching kinder after 27 years, I find it fascinating. I love it as I think it is a challenge and give me a new incentive to continue learning and growing.
