Everyone should be aware that when a child does not sign on virtually it might be a result of all the trauma going on within the family unit because of the havoc the pandemic has wreaked upon the world.

We have to remember that we cannot control everything around us.. even in a normal year without a pandemic. We must do the best we can with each student. Even when we are upset the student isn't logging on we must remain patient with families during this tough time. Open communication is a must!

Yes! I agree and it is also important that you reach out to the family to check-in and you can also email the student to have open communication log to see what is going on! In addition, each morning we do community time with an SEL journal entry to discuss different topics for social-emotional learning.
