Hey! Montessori has a lot of different lessons for social and emotional learning! There are several lessons from various Montessori certified teachers. Search for Carrots are Orange Montessori. Thats one that I follow.

One of the SEL lessons I like to use is one on making quiet, utilizing a bell. Its all about making your entire body quiet.

Another one is on the Peace Rose. Its a GREAT lesson on taking turns talking but also how we create peace.

Wow! I am going to look into this! SEL skills are so vital and I am excited to learn how to implement them in more ways.

Greetings! You can turn any book into a SEL Lesson. Read it from a child's perspective or from the perspective you were taught it as a child. Then, choose one or two of the prominent themes of the story, and teach on that concept. Have good interactive questions and an activity to fit the theme/concept. A good place to begin is with, The Little Engine That Could. Theme: Perseverance/Never Give Up

Check out the programs MIND UP and also Sandford Harmony for resources. I also use https://dawnselander.com and adjust the resources for the grade level.
