The COVID-19 Pandemic and the resulting school closures in PA. are the reason why I am here. I had been looking for ways to update my knowledge with respect to technology applications in school. My school district started to share links for simple k12 webinars, so I checked a few out last week. After that, I decided that I could do some much-needed updating of my technology skills, so now the Simple k12 community is stuck with me for at least the next 2 years.

Congrats! This year is a challenge for all in many ways and the best we can do is to educate ourselves. This is a great place for "one step at a time" professional development.

You can actually choose any sub page and then choose new topic. So you could choose technology integration, lesson plans, introduction, whatever your new topic will relate to and then you can choose new topic within the section.

I joined this awesome community about 9 weeks ago. At that time I felt so far behind regarding technology applications to the classroom. Since then, I have been concentrating on learning the basics, through the toolkits, listed inside many of the subject categories.

Result: I am becoming more comfortable with layouts, and vocabulary. I am still far behind, but I feel like I am making progress, and I am most happy with that for now.

Keep going! KP
