This is an article that I have just read. I started to wonder what the authorities can do to make good teachers don't leave the profession. We need teachers and we need good teachers. What are your thoughts?

I feel like having a good support system and leaders who care make a world of difference. I know how stressful and at time over whelming teaching can be but when you have a team of other teachers who you know that will help you out at any point takes a little stress off the top. It helped me knowing the door was always open with staff and administration.

Good article. Thanks for sharing. Agree with all the points. The comments at the bottom of the article were spot on.

Agreed. Too many meetings that could've just been an email and too much focus and time spent on data collection as well.

I especially agree with the points made about test scores and the increasing problem of not being able to do what is actually best for the students. Textbooks, resources, and standardized tests are often developed and adopted by schools for business and marketing reasons over the actual educational needs of our students.

In my experience, it has been lack of discipline from the parents to their child as to how they are to treat teachers. Too many times, the student will challenge the teacher and then the student runs to the principal, and the principal tells the teacher to "give them another chance." Parents need to control their children!
