Has anyone used Edgenuity on their campus? We call it "E2020". Our kids are taking some classes on there for credit accrual or credit recovery. The goal, I guess, is to help kids get through classes quickly without taking an entire semester or year devoted to a course. Does anyone have any experience/opinion?

Yes, my district implements this program for Credit recovery also. I like that the system is available via the internet, so students are able to work any time of the day at their convenience.

Sounds great. I will check to see if others have it here. is it for specific grades or just credit recovery for anyone needing high school units? Very interesting!

I believe anyone needing high school credits. So far, I've seen a lot of cons with the pros. Yes, they will get their credit, but most of my students don't even pay attention to the videos & just Google all the answers. I guess it's sort of okay because they're still getting the information...but it's still a little frustrating in class to have students talking & constantly need redirection. I'm essentially just a computer lab monitor for a couple of class periods & the kids are taking classes that aren't in my content area. They always want my help & I do my best, but if it was a subject I was far less familiar with, I'd be of no assistance. The lab monitor/teacher for E2020 has to unlock tests, allow for retakes, etc. So, they can't do ALL of it on their own at home.
