Overview

Have you been thinking about implementing iPads in your school or district? Are you unsure of how to begin and what the potential pitfalls might be? In this webinar, we will walk you through the implementation process of PS 10, a New York City public school, that rolled out iPads to all instructional staff members, as well as a mobile cart for student use during the 2010-2011 school year. We will cover the overall plan and purpose, the logistics of getting iPads into the hands of 50 teachers, the plan and timeline for training and ongoing professional development, the systems in place for technical support, and an eye toward the future & scalability.

If you are considering the investment in iPads in your school or district, this webinar will provide an inside view on how one school has taken on the task head-on and hasn't looked back.

Really good information, even 2 years later. We had our district teachers attend a mandatory training in order to receive their iPads and it went over really well. Lots of good ideas for implementing any new device.

iPadEdTech, thanks for the comment. The SimpleK12 folks wanted a repeat of the previous session to attract viewers who hadn't been able to see it previously.

A "Part 2" is a great suggestion and I will let the SimpleK12 folks know you expressed interest. Hopefully we can schedule one in the near future.

Thanks again

Almost all of this webinar was a rehash of the one presented last July. I was hoping this would be Part 2 of this school's story (with a suggestion that those who wanted to hear about the initial implementation should watch the previous webinar) and contain new information about the actual use of the devices.
