Overview

In order to be efficient and effective computer and Internet users, students need to be proficient at using a computer keyboard. While many assume that keyboarding skills are something that students pick up naturally, keyboarding is a skill that must be taught and practiced for students to reach their full potential. In this webinar, join Matt Gordon as he recommends teaching strategies and lessons that will help your students improve their typing speeds. In addition, he will also provide computer-based extension activities that offer all experience levels an opportunity to improve their typing skills.

Covers every aspect of teaching keyboarding skills from materials to motivation. I never thought about the hygiene issue before and really like the idea of making kids wash their hands at the start of class. He also gives a couple of nice motivation ideas.

Great webinar. I'm going to use this for myself as well as the students. One minor correction: straight is misspelled on Typing Rubric.
