Overview

How do we help support the needs of our struggling students? Many of our learners struggle with the vocabulary or CALPs (Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency) when learning Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM) and History. However, we can use Web tools and apps to helps students visualize, contextualize, and personalize the learning. In this webinar, Shelly Sanchez Terrell will introduce teachers to tools that help simplify the language and support students who struggle in science, math, and history.

Great webinar!

I found the webinar to be very valuable since I teach in an urban district where vocabulary suffers at nearly every level. The science community has moved to one-to-one tablet based instruction. Having resources such as those you indicate will significantly improve the "dialogue" of our students here in the district. Thank you.
