In this world of global connectedness in which we now live, learning opportunities can come from almost anywhere - and finding and making these connections has never been easier. Whether you want to connect to authors, scientists, subject-matter experts, or other teachers, Google and other search engines make it incredibly easy to find the people you're looking for. In this session, we'll suggest how and where to search. We will also explore how reaching out to others to share real-life experiences and knowledge can create authentic, meaningful learning experiences for our students.

Excellent info.
These were great resources with authentic stories to show how powerful these global connections are for students. I really appreciate the ideas about getting authors to talk with my ELA students!
