Overview

Would you like to set clear expectations for assignments and grading, while helping your students stay on-task and organized when collaborating and sharing? Join Sharon Baillie, as she discusses Chalkup, a class management tool that helps with rubric creation, grading, organization, and file sharing. She will share how to use the rubric creation component to not only help you to create clearly defined rubrics, but to also reduce grading time by automatically tabulating scores. Sharon will also explain how this tool easily integrates with Google Docs so that you can conveniently share these rubrics and files with other teachers and students to ensure expectation and grading consistency in common projects. In addition, Sharon will cover how students can use this tool to get reminders to stay on task.

Thank you, Baillee, for looking for ways to use technology in the classroom and creating a video for others to watch. However, I did not enjoy this webinar and do not recommend it to others. Chalk-up may be a good resource, but I was not sold on its being used in the classroom. I found it frustrating when technological issues interrupted Baillee's speech patterns. I felt as if there was a lot of wasted time within the allotted 30 minutes. The navigation of the site was not seamless which doesn't instill me with confidence in the speaker or the site. A comparison of this site to others would have been helpful. I'd also like to know how students and parents like the site.

Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. I am like the ability to search rubrics to use to save time, and the ability to grade digitally using a rubric.

Thank you for sharing Chalkup. I had never heard of it, but I like the features of this resource - especially the rubric creator and search option. It was also helpful to see the teacher-view and student view.
